Motorcycles

This weekend I've been helping my father scan some old photos of him in his motorcycle racing days. Here are a few pictures that I thought were pretty good though they're just a small sample of the mass collection that he has. Plus he looks like wolverine in the first one. These are circa '71-'81.

Something that I can never thank my mother enough for is her passion for literature and writing. One of my favorite things to do when at my parent's house is to look through the hundreds of books that are in piles all over the house. This week I found a pretty depressing bummer of a book but something about it really intrigued me. It's a book of poems written by victims of Nazi concentration camps...not a pleasant read but it gave me some much needed perspective on our current living conditions and what we have been given/ how lucky we are. The poems are fantastic.

So since I haven't posted art in ages, here is a simple book cover.

Baroness

Mike Burdick and I collaborated on a project together. I was especially happy when he asked me because I haven't done much work in the past week or so and of course because his drawings are wonderful. He did the linework and sent a couple versions over to me and asked me to color one. I colored one up and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. CHECK IT.

New stuff!

Some new stuff finally... This first one was supposed to be a color study but I pushed it a little too far. I might just clean it up a bit and call it done. It's for a friends bands album notes.






And of course from this weeks hallway show....LADY GAGA... I genuinely dislike her.
